COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

As your local, not-for-profit electric co-op, Berkeley Electric is proud to encourage educational opportunities in the communities we serve. Even if you can't take advantage of these opportunities, please help spread the word so they can benefit as many members as possible.

Youth Tour & Summit-We're sending high school juniors and sophomores on trips they won't soon forget! The Washington Youth Tour is an all-expenses paid trip to the nation's capital for juniors while sophomores travel for free to the state capital for the Cooperative Youth Summit. Both leadership experiences take place this summer but the application deadline for the trips is February 18. Visit our website to learn more and to apply online. (Must be a BEC member)

Bright Ideas 5K-Help support our Bright Ideas grant program and come romp in the swamp this spring! Our Bright Ideas 5K is back on April 25 at beautiful Cypress Gardens and proceeds fund our grant program. Sign up before March 6 to receive early bird pricing.

Bright Ideas Grants-Teachers, do you need funding? We are offering up to $1,500 in grants to local teachers for their innovative classroom ideas. Teachers in public and private schools, K-12 in Berkeley Electric Cooperative's service area are eligible to participate. The grant process is quick and easy so apply here by March 12.

Trust Scholarships-Seniors, we haven't forgotten about you. Receive up to $2,500 towards your college education by applying for one of our ten available scholarships. Your parent/guardian must be a Berkeley Electric member and the deadline to apply is March 27.
